(as for the program menu item, it's annoying, I used to love to Alt and use keys to find my way around).
As for the buying experience, I buy online, as it's just easier that way - no salesperson "helping" me (aka trying to get me to buy stuff I don't need) and I get the accessories right away.
The answer to the "why the goose chase?" is because their program says "when declined, send e-mail".
