A number of years ago (well, hey - mid-80s as I recall) I visited NYC a few times. The main reason was a friend from St Louis who had moved to NYC. I remember seeing Rocky Horror Picture Show at the 8th Street Playhouse with her, as well as attending a folk dance meeting. I've done the Forbidden Planet and Star Magic visits too, as well as a few more places I'd rather not mention here.
I'm currently renewing my acquaintence with the city, and I find it compelling. Maybe because of William and Rachel, but I do find myself enjoying the time I spend there before the Wednesday dance practices. The architecture is amazing, the energy of the city is invigorating, and the size, while vast and intimidating, allows a diversity on that small island that is fascinating.
And I'm going to visit on Wednesday ... wanna come too?
