Trust me? Well, all I can tell you is that the Canons and Nikons are probably best, but I'm not sure about budget stuff. I really haven't followed P&S cameras in a long time. But Google the reviews, and see what people say about various models. You can usually get much better prices online than you can in a store. That's about the limit of my knowledge, tho...
